Little Mama

These are just a few of the many pictures I took of Anna Cate holding Caroline for the first time this morning.  She wasn't sure of what to think of her yesterday and would only touch her leg, but she warmed up to her today and decided she wanted to try to hold her.  Once Anna Cate had Caroline in her lap, she didn't want anyone else to hold her!  

She's a natural little mama!  She would try to put a paci in Caroline's mouth if she started to fuss and was very interested in reading to her.  She is going to be a little great helper! :)

She's Here!

Miss Mary Caroline Fowler was born yesterday morning at 8:03 am and weighs 6 lbs. 7 oz!  I was truly shocked when Dr. Ervin said, "It's a girl!"  The first words out of my mouth were "Are you sure?"

Caroline is sweet as she can be and looks a lot like Anna Cate did as a baby.  I can't kiss her or cuddle with her enough!!  We are thrilled for Anna Cate to have a sister and so close in age! :)  

I am having trouble uploading pictures to the blog since we are still at the hospital, but will update with photos as soon as I can!

Birthday Party Pictures

We celebrated Anna Cate's 2nd birthday this past Saturday.  Because her birthday and the baby's due date are only two weeks apart, we decided to have the party the weekend earlier than her actual birthday...just in case!

We had a wonderful time! Thank you to all of our family and friends who came to celebrate with us!

New Arrival!

Will called me at 6:30 on his way to work this morning to let me know that Darrell had just called him to say that Baylis had her baby!  What a wake up call!! :)  

Miss Ann Douglass Scott was born at 5:55 am this morning and she is just as cute as she can be!  

As you can see from the look on her face, Anna Cate wasn't so sure of what to think of it all. ;) 

The Book Club

Anna Cate and Silar have started a book club.  Anna Cate selects the books to be read and they meet sporadically throughout the day.  I most often overhear them discussing "Cindare" (Cinderella) or "P hop" (Peter Rabbit). 

Quite often the conversation is one sided and goes something like this...

"Poor Cindare, sash and beads, dress rumed (ruined)"

"Ohhh mieace (mice)"

"Bobby boo"(bibbity bobbity boo)

"ooohhh Cindare, pience"  (prince)

It is quite humorous and I'm thankful that Silar is a good listener and a good sport.  He always shows up to their meetings on time and never interrupts what Anna Cate has to say.

  

I've even caught him reading a few of the books Anna Cate lays out for him, though he would be embarrassed to know I told you so. ;)
